It is just another day in Indiana. Why am I here…snow again on the horizon, cold temps finding a ways under your jacket, and winter will not leave us alone. Why, why, why…Does anyone know the answer?
Will winter still be here in June??? Will fall start up in Sept??? Can we have at least 30 sweet summer days please…and maybe 30 nice days of spring.
So much to do or wanting to do but no desire to do it with the graying sky hanging around and dirty white snow all around. How do you find the mind set to do anything?
Sleep comes in short periods and all we want to do is sleep more. Time passes and we want to sleep more. At least I have my soulmate in bed with me:)
Eat, sleep, and work…what a life, really? Is there nothing more?? Really???
March is on the way, that is what I keep saying to everyone. In October, I say January will be here soon and then March is right around the corner. That is how I keep my sights dreaming for the days of Spring and Summer:)
How do you do it every winter?
I have to give a big “Boiler Up, Hammer Down” to the Purdue Boilermakers MBB team for their great win over the Mich. St. Spartans with ESPN Gameday in attendance.
Well…just another 5 months have gone by and I have not blogged anything. I find it is tough to decide on what to blog about…so much run through my mind. Sports, politics, family, work issues, my son and his turning 16, my hubby duties to my awesome wife, etc.
How do some people decide and what criteria do they use? Or is just what bites their butt at that moment in time?
I come up with a topic and work it through my mind on the way home from work or during my work night but I get home and it is in fragments.
I need to get my mini tape recorder set up with new batteries and keep it with my at all times…lol.
Maybe then I can get my thoughts “on to paper,” as they used to say in the old days
I must give credit to all the blogger who can do it daily and double the credit to the ones who have more than one blog or website.
If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, please fell totally and completely free to throw them at me.
Until I get a handle on this, I say to all…Have a great day!
We live in a world that is so fast paced and very unpredictable but still we don’t stop to help one another.
Everyone needs help sometimes but some need more.
I am at a loss on how to help my wife, my soulmate, my best friend and lover with her depression. What can I do to help her? My thoughts are all over the universe as to what I can do for her. I pains me and upset me and frustrates me but still I have no clue.
I look at others and how they interact. I look at the world around me and see how we just go about our day with no regard as to what it means to be a good human being, a good person, etc. Why do we just ignore the needs of others? Why???
When u live with someone, love someone, work with someone, share a life with someone…we must be able to help them and I can not do that for my soulmate.
This bites so bad…WTF! Life is not supposed to be like this.
Well…not much really. That is not entirely true…there is alot to chat about but deciding is the key. So…
I mowed today but I did not finish. It was just to hot to continue. It was 90 with a heat index of 99. I know I was dealing with heat exhaustion and had to let the rest go for tomorrow. I was thinking though after I got stopped and was floating in the pool about the weather. How can some scientists and politicians not get it when it comes to Global Warming? We have had some of the oddest and most unusual weather the past few years. More earthquakes, stronger tornadoes, melting glaciers, massive flooding, and let us not forget…unrelenting heat!
Where is this all leading I ask? I do not know for sure but it can not be good. Some of the greatest minds in science do and some politicians agree with them but not very many people are listening with the interest and enthusiasm required to make the changes needed to at least slow the effects of Global Warming now. I don’t think we can stop it completely but slowing it at least gives us more time for research and find a possible stop to earth’s early destruction.Â
At the same time, how can people think researching and applying alternative energy is a waste of time. And new oil drilling rigs in the ocean are most definetly not the answer. yes, it take money, time, and effort but it is totally worth it! As with increasing our recycling efforts nationwide and working more on our gardens (growing ur own food?) and planting more trees , we need to end our dependeny on fossil fuels, cut our overall use of electrity and embrass alternative energy sources.
Wind, solar, geothermal, hydroelectric, and biomass are sources of clean and renewable energy sources we can work on today! We can do much just in our own home or community to help the process get started today. Add in the postive effects it would have on the economy and lowering of the unemployment rate with new jobs and college courses added for the industry!Â
Just using paper bags or better…reuseable bags at the market, closing lights when you leave a room, and recycing are huge startes to helping the world we live in.
Global Warming is here to stay!
So, after a lengthy absence, I am back. What with working, homeschooling, life, and a change in web hosting I have really neglected the blogging. But that’s all over, and I’m ready to go.
Stay tuned for insightful musings and pithy insights!
